My Visit to Ronald Reagan's Library

I came away from a visit to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library last weekend with renewed peace. I came away inspired. There have been men worthy of our regard and our trust, even in our not so distant past. We walked through the library with our son-in-law Navy seabee and his bride, and I felt proud of an American leader.

Although still skeptical, we spoke to a man outside who had a Marine t-shirt on, and was clutching a framed photo. We helped he and his wife take a picture, and I asked him about the picture he was holding. It was a picture of him, in full dress uniform, standing in front of President Reagan and his helicopter, back when he was in service. I had to ask, "Seriously, what was he like?" The response encouraged me: "He was a real man. A great man. So gracious and honorable." I posted that to my facebook page, and a HS friend chimed in: "I was there, too. I agree!"

So I swallowed my wallet and paid $17 for a reproduction of a plaque that this good man had on his desk. It now stands on my desk as a reminder for my own personal fights, and the fight for our nation. It is strengthening me every time I see it. Borrow it if you wish... Battles will be lost -- we can win the war. Fight - in any way you can. And BELIEVE. Have HOPE. And CHARITY.

"It CAN be done." God bless you, President Reagan. I'll remember.

Great pictures of the March on Washington

Well, my new camera ate my pictures or maybe I just need to use the software that came with it, we'll see. Here's a link to some great professional photos to give you an idea. I'll start blogging stories soon! It was amazing!!!!

http://www.stealthfusion.com/forum/fusion-research/4910-amazing-photos-9-12-march-washington-vs-usa-today-national-mall-schematic.html

To characterize the people that came and the revolutionary feel to it, Laurie and I spoke to a man on the Metro enroute to the march who commented first that he didn't have a t-shirt or anything special to wear. He said that he'd just hopped on a plane that morning from Florida, because he'd "just heard about it" and he felt "compelled to come." Actually, everywhere we went before and after, people were coming up to us (if we didn't first), introducing themselves, asking how we thought it went, just being excited! More later...

Beat them at their own game!

Here's a great story about how the Dallas Tea Partiers beat the MoveOn(.org) at their own game!

Dallas Tea Party activists out flank MoveOn at Obamacare protest.

If we keep this kind of thing up, MoveOn will have no choice but to do exactly that: MOVE ON!

I attended the Gilbert Tea Party on July 4. Many speakers encouraged us to become educated and involved. We were encouraged to not wait for someone else to do something, but to become educated, speak up and act.

4th of July Plans?

Hopefully you haven't made plans yet because we'd like you to join us at the Gilbert Town Hall for a Tea Party. I'm not sure what it's official name is but I've seen East Valley Freedom Rally. We are not sure of all the details but we'll keep you updated with any new information. Here's the letter the organizer wrote to us:

We are planning on the 4th of July at Gilbert Town Hall – The main Theme is to educate people on why they are feeling the way they are about the government and what to do about it – how to make changes NOW! We will give the audience time to sound off too – just like last time. The entire event about 1 ½ hours.

It’s Independence Day!

It’s time to stop governmental abuse of our lives, liberty and our property.

See you and your group there on the 4th
